Group pet portraits are a lot of fun to do. A lot of people
like to have portrait of pets together past and present. I can do
various styles such as the heads placed in a pleasing way over the
paper such as the 5 horses. This style works well if you can't get
your pets in similar poses or angles or if you would like a pet
portrait featuring different animals such as a horse and a dog.
The other option is to place them in a line and bring their
head/shoulders down to the edge of the pet portrait so it meets
the frame or mount. This seems to be my most popular style and
works well for similar sizes dog, cat or horse portraits.
Photographs are important for group pet portraits especially if
you want the latter style. Your pets don't have to be photographed
together at the same, but it is important that they are taken in
similar light and pose so they work together in composition.
