Pet portraits make a wonderful original gift to a friend, family
member or even yourself! Although dogs, horses and cats are among
my most popular requests I would be delighted to accept
commissions of any animal companion. Please don’t hesitate to
contact me for further information via the contact section.
On this page you will find the links to my pet portrait
galleries showing my work in pastels and the other mediums I use.
Below you can also view a current work in progress. Please take
the time to have a look and view my work. I am currently producing
most of my work in pastels due to demand as they deliver the
detail and vibrancy of colour that my clients want. All the images
below are in pastels. I am adding new pet portraits on a regular
basis so come and visit again soon

Work in Progress
Here I will be showing the progress of one of the current
pet portraits on my easel. I am always happy to answer questions about
my techniques and the mediums I use to create my pet portraits. If
you have any questions please contact me.
In between my pet portraits I always like to have a personal
painting that I am working on. These will all be available for
purchase when completed, and possibly limited edition prints
released.
This current piece is of an Arabian mare called Divine. She is
beautiful horse and her owner Debra Torrico very kindly let me use
her photo of Divine for this portrait.

The outline drawing has been transferred to my pastel paper
and the background has been completed. I wanted to create
quite an atmospheric background to compliment Divine. I have
also started blocking in basic values and trying to establish
some form. |

More progress on Divine's portrait, continuing to establish
the values and in some places you can see that her muscle
structure is becoming more defined. |

More progress has been made on Divines portrait.
I have done some more work around her eye and neck. Her portrait
is really starting to come to life now. Stand by for more updates
on her portrait within the next week or so. |
