So I am into my second day of taking a week off and I couldn’t have asked for better weather.
I always get asked if I get bored doing what I do or can I only do the pet portraits when I feel creative. To a certain extent I do get stale when I have worked so hard for so long, but I always love it because I can mix it up with my fun watercolours. I did feel like I needed a break and I am really enjoying it, but I have to say honestly even now I am itching to get my pastels out and get cracking on with all the pet paintings I have to do, even after 48 hours. However I will take my week off and I know when I get back to it I love it even more again. It is always good to take a rest especially when you work from home as it takes a lot of discipline, but I wouldn’t change my job for the world. I love painting peoples pets and the happiness it brings them. I can’t wait to show you so some of the commissions I have coming up.
I am really excited about Beck’s pet portrait which will be going to the USA and the exciting things I have coming up working with Mind.
I hope to to get y camera out tomorrow and get some good photos of the kids. I love photography as a hobby and my Dad was a photography teacher. He is a Nikon man and I am a canon lady but we love chatting about it and he gives me some great tips.
Anyway enough from me, enjoy the sun and I will pop a post up in a day or so!
