What an experience, at 5am yesterday morning I went to hospital to support my friend in the birth of her baby. It was amazing, she was amazing. I had sections with both of mine, but being so close to a natural birth with my daughter I felt quite cheated at the time. It took a while to come to terms with it, but yes, at least we are all safe. This was just so wonderful to witness and be a part of, I feel so incredibly lucky and privileged to have been there. She was born at 10.07am happy and healthy. Mum and baby are now home and settling into their new lives.
After coming home at about 2pm yesterday I was too tired to even think about pet portraits, so after a good night’s sleep and a good long walk with the dogs I settled back into the pet paintings.
I framed Murphs portrait and he will.be going out in the post tomorrow. I also made a start on Shilo’s portrait. A gorgeous springer Spaniel who is no longer with us. The recipient were bought a pet portrait gift voucher.
The books are getting busy and Christmas slots are filling fast and bookings going in for 2019 so don’t delay if you are thinking of getting that loved one a pet portrait.
sorry the photo of the portrait is a little out of focus, my camera seems to be playing up!
