This gorgeous boy is a going to be a birthday gift. My client sent me few photos but I loved the one of him wit his head resting on his owners boot. It shows real affection and adoration for his owner and I wanted to capture that in his portrait.
There were some other bits in the photo that I felt made it cluttered so I removed them so Alfie became the focus of the painting.I love painting black dogs as there are lots of colours in them, not just black and they have a lovely sheen on their coats which I love to capture in the portraits.
I am just waiting for client approval now and then I can get his pet portrait framed and posted off.
Here is a sneak peek of my secret horse portrait. He looks magnificent in his frame and I can’t wait to be able to show him off to you fully!
Tomorrow I will be getting ready for my show in Sevenoaks and hopefully if I have time starting a lovely spaniel portrait of a dog called Murphy. Look out for some updates and I will report on how my show goes on Saturday, please pop down and visit me if you have time.
My client was delighted with their portrait and the recipient of the gift (wedding present) were over the moon as the had always wanted a pet portrait You can read their quote here
