I am not sure why my last blog post failed to update, I have tried copying and pasting it and it still won’t have it! Perhaps you are lucky to get away with having to read all my waffle haha. It wasn’t that interesting anyway.

However I am now under six pet portraits away from finishing for Christmas which is an amazing feeling. I am beginning to feel the stress levels rising though as they always do at this time of year. I don’t want to let anyone down on the big day. Not that I ever have. I have never missed a deadline, but there other factors involved out ofy control! It has also been hard as I have been unable to walk which is usually how I destress between busy work days, but due to my stupid plantar fasciitis I have been unable to do that.

I am really excited as I have found something I think and hope will really help me with filming my pet portraits. I will have to upgrade all the equipement I am sure, eventually, but today an arm for a microphone that has been adapted to hold a phone arrived. It can move up and down and the head that holds the phone can rotate 360. I should be able to have it above my pet portraits while working on them filming down so it doesn’t have my big fat head in the way. I am definitely going to give it a go on the weekend, so stand by and I will let you know how it goes! I am so looking forward to reporting back.

I haven’t had a chance to play with my new video set up yet, it has been all go. You can read about the other pet portraits I have been working on over here. These are the ones I haven’t had a chance to write up a separate blog, but still wanted to let you know about. I am very nearly finished now. I have pastel pet portraits left and a couple of Jolly Splashes pet portraits that are part way through and one to start. I have some other portraits that need doing very quickly in the New Year, but to have the looming pressure of Christmas taken off me is going to be such a relief. It will be lovely to chill out with the kids, put the Christmas tree up and if my stupid foot lets me, actually get some walking in, not holding out much hope as it’s been agony the last few days.

I will be doing a more in depth blog again of Fudge the Chocolate labrador who is ready to be worked on. I also have a gorgeous boxer called Alfie to paint for the very beginning of the New Year. There is not going to be much rest for this pet portrait artist!
