Brecon, at the top of the famous and beautiful Brecon Beacons, is literally the ‘beacon’ to head towards for all visitors to this amazing area. A proper town centre that has not been spoilt by over-commercialisation by big business. Hence this welcoming r4e32gallery sits alongside well known small town high street names – well worth a visit at any time.
Our whistle-stop 48-hour trip was dogged by torrential rain for much of the journey to our destination. However, as we headed towards our lodgings for our planned trip across the Beacons, the clouds cleared and we drove over the amazing rolling landscape bathed in a stunning sunset. Highly recommended and it inspired some new ideas for my Rainbow Watercolour range as well as defying the old adage that it always rains in Wales.
We received a truly warm Welsh welcome despite our visit following the country’s defeat to England in the Rugby Union Six Nations Championship! It was a lovely, if short, trip to this great part of the UK. I feel truly refreshed and ready to work on more pet portrait commissions whilst fitting in more exciting Rainbow Watercolour ideas
As usual watch this space…..
