It’s funny really, despite being a full time pet portrait artist, I very often don’t get a full day in the studio.
There is so much more to it. Reply to emails, editing images, packing and shipping, accounts and also the boring bits like cleaning and running a home.
However today, I had an amazing 5 hour stretch and managed to make some real headway with Beck’s portrait. I am pleased with how it is coming together now. I always find an expanse of white fur daunting, much more so than black. The tricky bit will be his medal I think as there are some fiddly small letters and logos on it, but we shall see how I go. It’s definitely going to require a sharp pencil!
