I think it unlikely I will get a weekend off between now and Christmas! I have been working most of this weekend, with a little time out for the last rugby international of the autumn. I just love the rugby, thank you to my Dad so it would have been rude not to sit down and watch it with a few beers yesterday afternoon!

I managed to frame the double dog portrait and that is ready to go out tomorrow. I also scanned in my latest completed portraits.

paul smallThis week I have some pen and watercolour portraits to get on with, I have a gorgeous border collie called Romeo to start and a horse portrait. Funnily enough, the want a head portrait of the horse and then the recipient had her birthday last week and was given a head portrait of said horse! They have decided to go ahead and are getting a portrait of her show jumping instead. It has happened once before, but last time they cancelled. I guess it’s just one of those things!

I have one more dog to paint for someone in my village and a friends dog who lives in Angmering. This is where my mother i law has her caravan in the summer and we tend to go down over whitsun half term and August bank holiday. It maybe a good excuse to go down for a quick visit in the New Year to deliver it and have a night away! We shall see.

Anyway back to the grindstone!
