It’s been a long time since I painted a setter portrait and now I have two. I am working on an Irish setter, gorgeous red and white one and I also have a red setter portrait to do.
Today I mainly took off, but tomorrow I really need to get the black lab portrait finished and the double Spaniel portrait completed and framed. I am looking forward to working in the studio tomorrow. It has turned into a bit of a dumping ground in the heat instead of the lovely space I am used to, so I need to tidy up a bit.
I have an idea for a large canvas again, of an Eagle in flight. I want to try it small first. I also want to get out the acrylics to have a play with another idea I have. Even possibly involving a palette knife.
