For this latest dog portrait commission I was asked to paint this lovely Teckel called Tino.
Tino
He sadly passed away recently and his owner’s son from Northamptonshire asked me to paint him in pastel as a gift to his dad who understandably missed such a character.
The client wanted me to ensure I captured every hair as Tino had a typically mad coat.
Working together we decided on a plain coloured background to enhance his coat and I selected the brown frame to compliment the key colours in this pet portrait.

Mark, the owners son, wrote: “It looks absolutely fantastic. Really pleased – as I’m sure my Dad will be.”
