I took yesterday off to go and get furniture for my daughters bedroom, as I have given her my studio space upstairs so she can have her own room now she is 10. Like lot’s of girls she has far too many clothes so I need new drawers for her. My son on the other hand wears the same 4 or 5 items all the time!
Today I framed Bailey’s portrait. I love the frame with his painting. I picked a background colour that works well with lighter part of the frame, therefor tying his portrait in with the frame.
I am really pleased with how his pet portrait has turned out and he will be collected this week hopefully, ready for his Mum’s birthday later this month.
Here you can see the reference photo used, the finished pet portrait and finally framed. I am sure you will agree he is a handsome chap, and he was a real sweetheart when I met him.
I have also started a lovely dog portrait of a collie cross called Sam. This was a gift voucher purchased at Christmas. Gift vouchers are a great option if you have left it too late for a birthday or you would like the recipient to be involved in the process of their pet portrait. Giving them a chance to choose their favourite photos, poses and style of portrait. More info can be found here on the gift voucher process.
