I haven’t had many pen and watercolour portraits this year, but I love doing them. I also like the pen sketch before I add the watercolour. Sometimes it almost feels a shame to add the watercolour to the portrait.
In these two photos you can see the pen sketch on it’s own and then with the watercolour wash. Just a note to anyone reading this my phone won’t upload so. I will add tomorrow.
I am thinking that I might offer the pen sketches as an alternative to the adding the watercolour.
I have started a triple dog portrait in bluebells. I love bluebells and they are such an iconic British flower and I really love to get the opportunity to paint them in my portraits. Don’t forget I can change the backgrounds to any portrait as long as the dog, horse or cat fits a background style. I’d love to do a portrait in poppies one day!
